OFERRO SRL ("Oferro", "we", "our") respects the privacy of your data. This policy explains what data we collect, why we use it, how we protect it, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU Regulation 2016/679) and Romanian Law no. 190/2018.
2. Data we collect
We collect: (a) account data - name, email, phone number, encrypted password; (b) usage data - history of viewed and redeemed offers, approximate location (city), cuisine preferences; (c) technical data - IP address, device type, app identifiers, cookies; (d) optional data - profile picture, reviews, social connections, if you choose to provide them.
3. How we use the data
We use your data to: (a) provide the service - restaurant discovery, offer redemption, loyalty program; (b) improve the product - anonymized aggregate analytics; (c) communicate with you - transactional confirmations, relevant offer notifications, technical support; (d) comply with legal obligations - invoicing, tax compliance, fraud prevention.
4. Legal basis
Processing is based on: contract performance (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) for the app's operation; your consent (art. 6(1)(a)) for marketing notifications and optional cookies; legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)) for security, fraud prevention and product improvement; legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)) for tax and accounting compliance.
5. Who we share data with
We share data only with: (a) authorized processors - cloud providers (EU-based servers), PCI-DSS-certified payment processors, transactional email providers; (b) partner restaurants - only your name and redemption code when you use an offer; (c) public authorities - only when legally required. We never sell your data.
6. International transfers
Your data is stored and processed exclusively on EU-based servers. We do not transfer personal data outside the EEA, except where a processor is authorized via a European Commission-approved mechanism (standard contractual clauses).
7. How long we keep the data
We keep account data while the account is active and for 30 days after closure (for recovery). Transaction data is retained for 10 years for tax obligations. After these terms, data is anonymized or irreversibly deleted.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to: access your data, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, portability, objection to processing, withdrawal of consent at any time, and lodging a complaint with the Romanian Data Protection Authority (ANSPDCP). To exercise your rights, email support@oferro.ro - we reply within 30 days.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies for site functionality, aggregated analytics cookies for product improvement, and - only with your consent - cookies for personalization and marketing. You can manage cookie preferences anytime from your account settings.
10. Data security
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures: TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive data, multi-factor authentication for internal staff, periodic security audits, principle of least privilege. No system is perfect - in case of incident, we will notify authorities and affected users per GDPR.
11. Minors
Oferro is not intended for people under 16. We do not intentionally collect data about minors. If you learn that a minor has created an account, please contact us - we will delete the account and associated data.
12. Policy changes
We may update this policy to reflect legislative or product changes. We notify active users by email at least 30 days before any material change. The current version is always available at oferro.ro/privacy.
